Customer Reviews Average rating - 4.5
Rating - 3 Date: 2008-09-30 Content: Nice little radio, but reception is really lacking.
Bought it because where I play it, it's sure to be stolen sooner or later.
But it was so cheap, I won't be out of a lot of money if it walks. Summary: Poor reception
Rating - 4 Date: 2008-09-28 Content: This radio is perfect for my hurricane kit - it's compact and uses AA batteries instead of D or C, which are more expensive. Summary: Great for Emergency Kit
Rating - 5 Date: 2008-09-24 Content: This is a lightweight radio that gets excellent AM reception. Amazing quality for the price. Summary: Very satisfied
Rating - 5 Date: 2008-09-17 Content: This thing is an incredible value. It looks good, sounds good, has great reception, the batteries last forever and its a Sony and costs $25.00
You cannot find these in any stores other than Frys and I'm convinced its because they make everything else look inferior by comparison. Ive compared this puppy with several high-end Eton radios that I own and the Sony can get any stations the Etons can get. I bought three, one for myself and two as gifts. I cant believe something that works this well can be had for $25.00 Summary: An incredible value
Rating - 4 Date: 2008-09-16 Content: Sony ICF38 Portable AM/FM Radio (Black)This radio has been a very satisfactory purchase for me. I was unable to find one locally and wanted one to have bedside. The only "problem" I have with it is that the plug-in for the earjack is extremely hard to unplug when I want to listen to the radio without it. Summary: transistor radio
