Editorial Reviews Album Description: Japanese pressing of Madonna's 2008 full-length album includes one bonus track, 'Ring My Bell'. Hard Candy is a brilliant uptempo collection that adds a hip-hop beat to the cultural icon's club sensibilities, thanks to collaborations with Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Pharrell Williams, and Nate "Danja" Hills. Hard Candy punctuates the first 25 years of the album career of the most successful female artist in history with a musical exclamation point. 12 tracks..
Customer Reviews Average rating - 4.0
Rating - 5 Date: 2008-11-19 Content: excelent cd, the candy the flavor is excelent, the book macnific, is madonna is the best is the hard candy Summary: hard candy special edition (candy box)
Rating - 1 Date: 2008-11-15 Content: I am really worried Madonna is going to have an on stage incontinence accident really soon....and those undies look HUGE!
Sad music by a person who should spend less time doing onstage impersonations of a 1980's 20yr old and more time trying to save her marriage, and Africa. Summary: whoa this is really sad
Rating - 2 Date: 2008-10-31 Content: Madge, you just pumped this out to finish out your contract with Warner. We all know that. You could have done much better. This pales in comparison with Confessions on a Dance Floor. There are a few good tracks though so it's not a total waste, but definitely not a "must" for your collection. Summary: Sorry Madge. . . .
Rating - 1 Date: 2008-10-25 Content: Madonna when Justin calls you again, don't answer.
Madonna is the only good thing about this album. The music is horrible. It has no depth and it sounds like a computer. I know a lot of artists use computers to create different sounds and rhythms. I also know that the challenge is to make it sound like it's not being done by a computer. The team of people working with Madonna on Hard Candy failed horribly. The production is distracting when Madonna shines. Madonna's vocals are not on the same page as the laughable "music" behind her fumbles on.
Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Pharrell Williams, and Nate "Danja" Hills - how could this album have been anything but bad? Madonna would have had better luck teaming up with a toaster.
It's really unfortunate because Confessions was really well crafted. Summary: bummer
Rating - 5 Date: 2008-10-14 Content: I thought she got old and not creative.
I was wrong.
Great great songs for years to come.
At least "Candy Shop"
will make you feel like "18 to 22" again.
"She's Not Me" will make you dance again. Summary: Exceeded any expections
