Content: When i got these speakers for my birthday, I couldn't wait to set it up. It took me a little while to figure out the right spot to have the antenna, and how to get it to stay up there. I ended up using my biggest trophy to hold it high to receive the best reception. I turned on the radio, and it sounded crystal clear. Obviously different stations work better than others, but most of them are great.
It's easy to use my I-Pod. I just put it in, it charges, and when I want to use it, I press play on the remote. The remote is also very light, and fits in your pocket, or on your night stand for easy access.
The alarm is nice because you can do the old buzzer, (which I'm afraid to try because it's probably annoying) the radio for your favorite station, your I-pod, or a playlist on your I-pod, so that you don't wake up to something that will just put you back to sleep. But, you do have to create a playlist, or just rename one called "ihome."
The sleep mode's not what I thought it was. I thought it would gradualy get softer, but it just shuts off after the set time. If I'm playing a game though, and get sucked into it, I'll know I should stop because it becomes really quiet.
The I-Home is a great speaker system, especially if you use all the features like I do. It saves space and money because you don't need any extra speakers to do features it may lack. It uses any of the I-Pods dating back to the 30 gig video, at least I think it does. But, my dad got it from Costco, and it was only $80. It may not matter to you, but I think any money you can save is better than nothing. Finally, these speakers are not loud enough to use over long distances, and is made more for a single room. It's still pretty loud, but depending on how big your house is, you will not be able to hear it throuhgout the house.
Summary: Great Speakers for Any Room

Content: Don't believe the "gradually wakes you." The radio comes on way too loud and this cannot be adjusted. Sadly, when you manually turn the volume to 1, it is still pretty loud. No nuance here.
Summary: Radio alarm TOO LOUD and not changeable

    Content: Pros:
    - Reasonably good audio quality
    - Great sleep timer choices
    - Good radio reception
    - Nice iPod compatibility list
    - Excellent that you can set the timers for only weekdays

    Cons:
    - The lowest volume level is too loud. Half the volume would still be too loud.
    - The dimmer option being on the snooze bar is lame. Make it its own button so that I don't accidentally hit it all the time
    - Lame that it doesn't work with an iPhone - you want me to pay how much for a piece of aluminum foil??!?

Summary: More improvement possible, but good alarm clock

    Rating - 5 Date: 2008-10-15
Content: A most excellent clock radio with an ipod connection. You have to put a plastic thingee into the ipod connection to hold the ipod up and this is mostly a one time thing so if you have multiple models you will need to decide which type goes in the radio. I guess you could change it, but it would be difficult.

The radio and the connection are all good. The sound is much better than my cheap clock radio and very clear for radio or ipod sourced music. You can adjust the brightness of the read outs, it has two alarms, and it is easy to connect into the ipod and play from it. The remote control is already lost, not sure why it has one.

So if you are looking for the ipod charger and/or a cool new clock radio, this is it. White looks good too. It matches apple white.
    Summary: Ipod's friend

    Rating - 5 Date: 2008-07-25
Content: I must say that after 4 months I'm still very pleased with this product.

    Pro:
    -display brightness setting.
-Amzazing sound quality (no Bose of course but for 90 USD I can use it outside on my porch with remarkable sound)
    -Good sleep function.
    -Good reception of FM inside
    -Easy to use remote.
-Wake up with own playlist or last played music.

    Con:
-No scrollwheel like on the Ipod itself. I know it's Apple patented but using the wheel of the ipod itself from the angle in which the ipod is connected is at first a bit akward. It often results in taking the ipod off and after selection of music reconnecting it, so no biggy.

Overall it's not one of those gadgets you use once or twice and then put it away on the gadgetstack. I use it every morning to wake up to (FM or my own playlist) and often at night with sleep-function. Very happy!
    Summary: Great product
