Content: This product works quite well. I've used it for the past 3 weeks after cleaning both my outdoor fountains. One is a 10 gallon and the other is a 30 gallon. Neither fountain has any algae growth, green, orange, or black. The water is as clear and clean smelling as can be for outside. And, I only have to use it once a week. With my old product, which I had to use everyday to every other day, I would still get algae growth starting at the beginning of the second week. It also smelled like chlorine. I haven't yet noticed anything off with the birds which frequent my fountains.

Content: I bought this product to keep the water in my fountain clear. Additionally I was concerned about not killing my cat or the local birds. It works well for me; water is clear, cat is not dead and as far as I can tell it's not killing the birds either. I'll buy the 64oz size next now that I've established it works OK.
