The device features a large, easy-to-read backlit screen that shows the trouble code and its definition. And although you still have to fix the problem that your scanner detects, this device will deactivate the "check engine" light on your dash so you'll no longer be distracted while you drive. Every Actron scan tool and code reader incorporates CAN (Controller Area Network) and the patented TrueLink Technology which guarantees the tool will link to and communicate with every OBD II compliant vehicle. Content: I've had it for a little over a month and used it several times already. So it already paid for itself. It's not hard at all to use although I haven't really used all of the functions yet. I also like the protective casing. I already dropped it and there were no damages done to it. I look forward to many more uses, and I'm sure my friends are too.

Content: I purchased this scanner and installed the software on my computer and was unable to download the latest updates. I tried contacting Actron support and after 2 days of not being able to talk to a representative I gave up and returned the item.

Content: work great, but dont try to use it on a diesel pickup, it wont even recognize it.
I bought it to diagnose my 2006 f350, and thought there was something wrong with the tool because it wouldnt even acknowlege that it was plugged in.
I have since found out that it doesnt work with diesels.
I am still glad I bought it though, I have since used it on many other vehicles.

Content: has saved me hundreds of dollars on repairs. I can pull and reset codes on my truck, and do my own repairs. Without it I would have to pay someone to diagnose my trucks problems.
works great, but not windows Vista compatable, and not much support from Actron.
am happy averall, but would like to be able to connect it to my computer for the available features.

Content: This scanner is very useful. It can save you money on repairs.
Some auto shops charge 80% of what this uint cost just to read
a check engine light. Its always better to know what the problem
is before you the to a shop.
