    Editorial Reviews
    Product Description:
The ISIS iQ DuoTM is the only breast pump with an electronic memory that learns and remembers moms gentle touch. The patented Let-down Massage CushionTM works gently and naturally to stimulate a fast natural milk flow. The powerful ISIS iQ DuoTM motor matches the vacuum of hospital grade pumps and the unique twin tubing carries equal suction to both breasts evenly. Finally, Avent's safe and hygienic design of the closed diaphragm system prevents milk from backing up into the tubing so that milk is protected from contamination and germs at all times. The ISIS iQ DuoTM has no pre-set speeds or suction with infinitely variable control right at the breast. ISIS iQ DuoTM will change the way women view breastfeeding and empower women to feel good about breast pumps, giving them more control, confidence, and convenience.
    Editorial Review :
Designed for comfortable, discreet, and efficient pumping wherever busy mothers go, the ISIS iQ Duo Twin Electronic Breast Pump features an electronic memory that learns and then automates your own personal pumping rhythm to achieve natural breastfeeding results. The iQ Duo stimulates let-down by means of a massage cushion that flexes while pumping, mimicking the suckling action of baby. During milk expression, a one-button variable control adjusts speed and suction to replicate baby’s deeper, more comfortable sucking rhythm, as the electronic memory learns and continues your unique pumping rhythm.

The ISIS iQ Duo arrives in a stylish, insulated tote bag designed for easy organization. Lower the front panel, and the motor can remain inside the bag for even quieter and more discreet pumping. The set allows single or timesaving simultaneous pumping, and also includes a manual pump for those times when an outlet isn’t readily available. Express directly into the reusable AVENT storage containers (in two four-ounce and two nine-ounce sizes), then simply replace the sealing discs with the included AVENT nipples and you’re ready to feed baby. Other features include two travel covers to keep AVENT nipples sterile when on-the-go, two Thinsulate carriers to keep your breast milk cool, eight flexible, freezable gel packs, two drawstring bags to conceal containers in the refrigerator, disposable breast pads to protect clothing, and a Quick Start DVD to guide new users. As part of the AVENT Natural Feeding System, the set can be used with any AVENT bottle or cup. --Heather Lyndon

Content: Despite some postings that this unit will stop working I chose to purchase it anyway. I was impressed with the Avent bottles having rarely given my nephew any problems (such a colic, barfing, etc) and they seem to be made with quality (no leaking, not a flimsy plastic). Because of this I really wanted to stay with the Avent brand. I did, however look at all systems available to see if there wasn't something that would be better. I used the Madela system in the hosptal and this unit is far more versitile and convenient to use. I love that it is a manual pump as well as a semi-automatic ("teaching" the unit to program your desired pump strokes) and, of course, automatic. Plus I was able to express more with the Avent system than the Madela. The bag that it comes in is well made with it's exterior access compartments for the pump itself to leave room inside for the other pieces. Plus the cooler bags are a great inclusion in this kit that I found a lot of kits did not offer. To buy them seperately, price wise, could add up.
Summary: So far it's a wonderful product

Content: I purchased this pump to replace my Medela Pump in Style Advanced, which I hated. I had the original Medela Pump in Style so I decided to purchase the upgraded Advanced version with the new "let down mode". It was horrible and hurt and did not have as many adjustments as my older pump...so, baby number 3 and another $300 pump. So, I purchased this in July, but did not attempt to use until November, 8 weeks after my baby was born. This pump was amazingly comfortable and efficient from the very first pump. It got a lot more milk in a lot less time since you can tailor the pump speed and strength with no "preset settings". Then, I attempted to get a second let-down after only 5 minutes of pumping and the handle snapped. I could not believe it broke after only the first use! I contacted customer service, nervous they could not help me because this pump was not even opened for 4 months. The rep was great and is sending me a new handle. I sure hope this problem is the only one I have because it truly is a wonderful pump. I would have given it 5 stars had it not broken on the first use! One other great plus for this pump - no milk can get into the tubing or motor, so risk of infection from condensation buildup or from milk entering the tubing is non-existant. There are 2 suction disks that are attached to the bottle (on the horns), with no opening to allow milk to enter. A HUGE plus (especially if you want to sell it later!).
Summary: Great Pump but Broke on First Use!

Content: This product is amazing. I did all the research i could on the web for it and there was mixed reviews. But I went with this one because; first off, its the only personal breast pump with the same industrial strength pumping as the hospital pumps. Next you can manually pump and it will memorize how you like to pump and then do it for you. My husband thinks its a little noisy but it doesnt bother me. This is the best pump, I had a medala before but nothing can compare to this pump!! A+++++++++

Content: This is a great product. It is so much more efficient than the hand pump. I bought this pump so that when I went back to work, it would be spending a lot of my time pumping, but it doesn't take that long for me to finish only using one pump at a time. The only downfall with this is that when you do use both pumps you can't do anything else because both hands are occupied. If I had known this I probably would have bought the Uno and not the Duo, but this is still a great product and know i have twice as many parts so I'm not always worrying about cleaning for the next pump session!
    Summary: GREAT PRODUCT!!!!

Content: I ordered this pump about a month ago upon my return to work (part time). My daughter was born a month premature, so we had initially rented a high-grade pump (which I think spoiled us for most pumps!). When I returned to work, we decided it was better to purchase our own pump than continue renting. I initially borrowed my sisters Ameda Purely Yours (I had my own accessories, from the hospital), but the engine had begun to die out, as the pump had already gone through a couple years of use. I did some fairly extensive research online and reading of reviews before I settled on this one, and am glad I did!

I ruled out the Medela fairly early on because the idea of mold growing in the tubing (even if the tubing was easily replaced) just sounded like a lot of hassle. So that narrowed my choice down to the Avent Duo or the Ameda PY. I called our local lactation clinic and asked about these two pumps; the lactation consultant I spoke with said that the Avent Duo had much more advanced technology and that the pump life was longer than with the Ameda.

Pros (so far): I have really enjoyed how much control the Avent pump gives you. With my first child I had just used the Avent Isis manual pump--this gives you the same kind of control as a manual but without constantly having to work the pump. I like that you can easily alter the settings: quick, to bring the milk in; much slower, to express the initial flow after let-down; and then quicker again when the flow slows down. I am typically able to pump 4-5 oz in about 8-10 minutes; with the Ameda I was using it would take me 20 minutes to do as much (granted, the engine was slowing down). Of course, neither pump compares to the one we rented when my daughter was in the NICU, but then, that grade pump costs several thousand dollars!

Some of the reviews have complained about the time to set up, and it's true that the Ameda weighs a little less and has fewer parts to deal with; however, I've found that if I put the horns together before I leave for work, it doesn't really take that much more time to set up the pump. And the weight hasn't been much of an issue.

Overall, I've found this pump to be fairly easy to use and worth the money I spent.
    Summary: Great electronic pump
