Content: Having used these on several properties and helped neighbors install these also, I can say they are very reliable if you set them up correctly. If you have a sagging gate, rusty hinges, etc. don't bother if you aren't going to fix them first.
The MM350 model requires a large battery - my neighbor hooked his up without attaching it to a charger - the mule opened the gate for about 3 1/2 months before the battery wore out. We recharged the battery and then plugged it in like it should be and it is working like a mule.

Content: installed mighty mule 500 2 years ago. Still not very dependable, constant service needed. Very little help from customer service, little or no trouble shooting information with instructions. REPROGRAM REMOTE PURCHASE BATTERY ETC....$$$$$$$$$$$$ PLEASE CONSIDER PROFESSIONAL GATE COMPNAY IN YOUR AREA FOR SERVICE AND QUALITY PRODUCT. sure wish there were reviews on this product 2 years ago........

Content: I installed the 350 two weeks ago and so far it's been nothing but trouble. After one week the gate stopped working, (seems like an issue with the remote/rf receiver.) I called customer service and after a 15 min wait I finally was talked through some troubleshooting techniques which have not really worked. I've now replaced the battery, (an additional 60 bucks,) and probably need to get a new remote. When I was at a local automotive accessory shop picking up my 2nd battery I happened to be in line with a guy who repairs automatic gates and when I told him about my problems he shook his head and said, "we always just suggest that people upgrade to the GTO models, Might Mule is the companies bottom of the barrel line."
On the plus side, when the gate opener works it makes life convenient.
Would not recommend this product to others.

Content: I ordered this item to replace another Mighty Mule gate opener that failed when it was struck by lightning.
This unit wants to jam on a regular basis when using the remote control. If you try to open the gate, then close it too quickly, it jams and you have to get out of your vehicle and manually reset the unit. I plan to call GTO and get the unit replaced or upgraded under the warranty.
Having said all that, I have nothing but praise for Amazon and the seller that sold me this unit. They did exactly what they promised when they promised.
Would I recommend another GTO gate opener? Sure; I probably got that one-in-a-thousand units that has a glitch or some other minor problem. Their units are much more competitively priced than other brands of gate openers and their written and video taped instructions easily walked me through the installation of my first-ever gate opener.
Summary: Having problems but still like the product; REALLY like buying from Amazon.com!
