The speaker also employs the same PowerPort bass vent technology used in Polk's line of full-sized speakers, thus improving the lower midrange response. The result is a midrange with no "hole" between the satellite and the sub frequencies, helping male vocals sound rich and full rather than thin and weak (as with most other sub/sat systems). Meanwhile, the satellite's integrated baffle and grille design allows for maximum sound dispersion and minimum diffraction, letting everyone in the room hear the same clear, well-balanced audio.

The speaker is housed within a mineral-filled, non-resonant, black-finished polypropylene enclosure that not only sounds natural, but also looks great. To top it off, the speaker includes an integrated keyhole slot-mounting bracket for effortless wall mounting. And because the speaker is magnetically shielded, you can locate the speaker near the TV without suffering from video interference. Content: I have a all Polk system and needed a pair of satellites for rear surround use and these were a great match.

Speakers have plenty of volume when (I have a Harman Kardon receiver) and the midrange is good. I would get these over the RM 101 or the RM 7 because it has a 3.5" driver vs. 2.5" on the newer models. The bigger driver provides a more flexible frequency response of 40-22000 hz vs 95-22000 hz. You'll get better midrange sound which is what surrounds do most of the time. There's also a silk .5" tweeter which is pretty smooth, no harsh brightness here.

Provided you have a decent sub to take care of the low end, these should will be great surround speakers. Especially for the price.

Content: Bought these speakers to go from 5:1 to 7:1. I'm using them on the sides to round out the system. They are perfect for my application. They are outstanding. They fit nicely with my Polk Audio Monitor 60s in the front, CSi3 center channel, RTi4 in the rear and the booming PSW 505 sub, all powered by an Onkyo TX-SR505. Its a great fit and fills my 16X20 room with all the sound needed. You can"t go wrong.
