Rating - 1 Date: 2008-12-01 Content: For an hour it worked perfectly, but now it behaves as if its receiver is gathering interference from random sources. I have tried replacing the batteries but it is still going nuts. Noting like spinning in circles while you're getting IT handed to you in a paper bag.
Is it because it is wireless or because it's made by Logitech? This is the second wireless Logitech product I have bought that was a major disappointment. I will try some good old Duracell digital camera grade cells in this unit before I give up... Summary: Bad Batteries or Bad Product?
Rating - 5 Date: 2008-11-29 Content: the only thing trubled me is the conneting buttom is in front of the receiver, which did not mentioned in the user's guide. At beginning I can not find any connetion button in the gamepad and can not use it. Summary: great gamepad
Rating - 1 Date: 2008-11-24 Content: This seems like a well-engineered device, and I can sort of get it to work with some of my games. But it seems painfully lacking in support for Mac or Linux computers. I have Ubuntu and Windows on my Mac, and I find the enormous difference in support for the three platforms (lots for Windows, nothing at all for Mac or Linux) to be puzzling and annoying. Wake up, Logitech. Windows isn't all there is. Summary: No Mac Support, At All
Rating - 4 Date: 2008-11-23 Content: Another product that shows why Logitech is so popular. It feels solid in every way and I'm sure it will provide good service for a long time.
So why only 4 starts? Setup gave me some troubles. It froze two different machines during setup of the driver. But after a hard reboot, the driver seemed to be installed and working. Also, the mapping software for mapping Gamepad controls to keyboard/mouse inputs was not the best (or at least didn't work good for me). For those looking to use this as a mouse/input device for your computer (when not playing games), I recommend trying "Xpadder", a freeware piece of software that is excellent.
Note: I'm not actually using this Gamepad for gaming so I can't review it in that way. I'm doing a research project and this just happens to fit the bill. Summary: Solid product
Rating - 4 Date: 2008-11-11 Content: Great pad! functional and easy to set up. It is a little heavy and big for kids. My four year old still prefers his logitech precision.
I prefer this pad, so no arguing with the four year old :-) Summary: great but not for small hands
