It automatically waters house plants without the aid of a computer or electronic controls. The water supply is syphoned from any container by means of a thin hose and is emitted slowly through the ceramic cone. Your plants can stay in their normal locations and you can even add liquid fertilizer. It's ideal for watering your plants during vacations. Content: I purchased 1 pack of 5 probes. They work very well so far. I am using them to water my plants I am over-wintering in the greenhouse. I just put a couple of buckets of water about the floor and dropped the ends of the tubes in. I have to refill or top off the buckets every so often.
Overall, I recommend the probes, they seem to do the trick.

Content: I have 10 outdoor plants (6 Geraniums & 4 Ferns) that I was hoping to save over the winter. I've got the 10 probes sharing the water from 3 different one gallon buckets. After two months all are doing quite well & showing new growth. You can see that soil is moist without being drenched.
The one suggestion I have is for larger plants to plan on buying two probes. My largest plant (which is still doing well) is the only one that appears a little on the dry side at times.
This is actually recommended in the brochure that comes with the product, but would have been nice to know at the time of purchase.

Content: I tested these before I left for vacation. They did not seem to work at all. I was using them on outside pots and unless I was doing something wrong no water came out of them from the water bowl

Content: These probes work great. However, don't expect great results in larger size pots. I think one probe covers a 10 inch pot pretty well.

Content: I had to go on a trip for about 2 weeks and thought of asking somebody to water the plants for me but being away for 2 weeks it's a big burden for anybody to do so. So I did some research for alternatives.
The positive review of this self-watering probes led me to purchasing this item.
They arrived within a few days after my order and are easy to use. All you have to do is to soak them in water for 15 minutes then put them into the soil and leave the water hose in a water container. The one thing to watch out is the water level. It should not be higher than the plant.
I tested them for a few days before my trip and refilled the water tank before leaving home for my trip.
Every single plant survived and I found 7 new big tomatoes when I came home the other day (The flowers were blooming when I left).
I am very happy I purchased this item and would highly recommend it.
