Rating - 5 Date: 2008-06-01 Content: My 4 yo daughter began playing this at the Apple store while waiting for us. She loved it so much we bought it before we left.
There are parts she can do all by herself and parts difficult enough to require help from Mom + Dad. Which I think of as good. It gives her a sense of accomplishment and is challenging enough to require our help and allow her to grow with the game.
Look at it like this...it's better than TV. Summary: Didi + Ditto are great
Rating - 5 Date: 2007-01-09 Content: A lot of brain flexing while enjoying the program's great graphics. I give the makers of this game a thumbs up for coming up with it. My son's use of it has sharpened his learning skills - without him knowing it. He just enjoys the games and funny (and safe) animation. A parent or older sibling will have to be there to help them understand some concepts, but as soon as they learn the game at level 1, it's easy to jump to 2nd then the 3rd level. Then again, this will depend on the child's age, learning ability, and the time spent on the computer. An hour with a bit of relaxing in between would be suggested when working in front of the computer to rest the eyes. Summary: Educational entertainment
Rating - 5 Date: 2006-12-29 Content: So excellent in all departments. Program does not crash or flake out at random. Requires only included installation of QuickTime. Not frustrating for little kids due to variety. Wonderful character design and great variety of puzzles. This is the gold standard for games of this type. Summary: Gold standard
Rating - 1 Date: 2006-09-08 Content: The problem with this game starts with the introductury movie... it develops slowly, goes on forever, suffers from disconnected animation and does little to set up the ridiculous premise for game play.
Once game play FINALLY does start, my child found the games boring and the TRANSITIONS between the games tediously slow. Cute characters...zero edutainment. It was consigned to the dustbin by the end of the day. Summary: Tedious game-play with little emphasis on learning
Rating - 2 Date: 2006-07-20 Content: I guess I'm spoiled by the I Spy games I've purchased for my children. This game has an enormous amount of "story"...it's almost as bad as sitting your child in front of the television. Interaction is confusing and frustrating. I'd rate this lower but it's clear that a lot of work went into the animation, which is top notch. I just wouldn't classify this as a learning game. Summary: Really disappointed
