Content: The CIPA 36500 Auto Dimming Mirror w/Compass, Temp & Light has features that mirrors twice the price do not have. Very easy to install auto dimming and compass/temp work great. Do alot of road trips and driving at night. Could not be happier with the product.

Content: I bought this a while back for the features and the price with no regrets. And just bought another one for another car.
The Auto-Dim feature is excellent; only takes a few seconds to respond.
The Compass is self-calibrating after setting the zone and driving around for a few minutes.
The Temperature display is handy; although I can't speak for it's accuracy.
The built in map-lights are nice. On the downside, out of the box, there is no feature to turn the map lights on when you open the doors. However, the harness can be modified to make it work. I did just that and it works great.

Content: I originally was looking to add a rear view mirror with map lights to my wifes '98 Malibu and found this mirror. Hadn't planned to have all these options but for the price I just had to get it.
Perfect fit for my GM car, easy to install. As a previous review stated the hardest part is the routing of the wires around the windshield, at least for me. Other wise it is only two wires for power and off you go. For us the fact that the mirror only works when the key is on is nice as we tend to leave the map lights on in my car and this way they are turned off when the car is turned off.
The mirror works great, love not having all those bright truck headlights blinding me, the lights work great, the compass and temp dim nicely at night to they don't distract you but are bright enough during the day.
Great product, highly recommend. The greatest thing is we can take it with us when we trade off this car.

Content: I was searching for a couple of months for a replacement OEM mirror. My car manufacturer didnt make a replacement mirror anymore that had auto dimming and map lights. Found the CIPA 36500 and after doing some more research found out my OEM mirror and the CIPA were manufactured by the same company - Donnelly. When I recevied the mirror they were pretty much identical. The wiring I had in my car plugged right in, all I needed to do was plug the 2 cables in for the temp sensor and it worked just like that. plug and play. Very happy with the product and the quality. Auto dimming is even better than it was plus I have extra features.

Content: The mirror is well made and functions just as advertised. Installation , though advertised easy, was more involved than some may want to get into. I installed it in my 2003 Chevy truck and didn't run into too many problems, but running wires up the windshield post might be a trick in many vehicles. Particularly those vehicles with side curtain air bags located in the windshield post trim, something the instructions don't warn you about.
