Content: All I have to say about this product is that it's not for me. Nothing bad about Quicken, I've always liked Quicken and have been using it for years. However, what I didn't realize when I bought this product was that Quicken discontinued the bank transaction download feature. I had to upgrade. My advice is that if you want your finacial institutions to "talk" to Quicken, don't buy this version. Go with 09. I upgaded to 09 and have not had any problems.
    Summary: Not for me

Content: I have used Quicken for a long time. It works very well and it can save a lot of time if you set it up correctly.
I use it mainly to keep track of bank accounts, credit cards and stocks.
    Summary: Quicken Deluxe

Content: I could probably crap out a program that works better than this one. Downloading transactions with this is just a migraine and a half since it would not download from my institution. I just kept getting error messages when I knew all my information was correct. I had this thing set up and running fine for about a month and then this starts happening. I've had to reload this program before just because it's been a major pain in my a#@. I whole heartedly agree with a previous reviewer that I would have given this zero stars if at all possible. Amazon people can you make a function so that I can give this zero stars and rest at peace. Find something better to use than this POS. I hope this helps and have a very bad day.

Summary: What a worthless piece of garbage

Content: The most frustrating aspect of Quicken is that when you upgrade it destroys all your detail. I lost a lot of work because of that. I've never really recovered from having over 1 year worth of detail lost. There was no warning when I upgraded and couldn't get back the detail.
The functions are work but my bank offers csv format. It can imported into a worksheet and saved as an excel file. However I couldn't find a way to import that data. I also used Versacheck and couldn't import that data either. These are major problems, even if you are a loyal customer who upgrades regularly.
Summary: Functions work but import limitations

    Rating - 2 Date: 2006-01-12
Content: I purchased Quicken based on its claims to have greatly improved auto-recognition of bank transactions.

I can't imagine what it was before, because it rarely recognized any bank transactions into categories, even when it was a recurring charge or bill.

I stopped using it, but afraid to return to MS Money given all of the newly reported bugs in that software.
Summary: Transaction Recognition? I don't think so.
