Customer Reviews Average rating - 4.5
Rating - 5 Date: 2009-01-06 Content: I expect great things from this easily cleanable, sturdy child's desk. My granddaughter is able to slide it around but she will learn to leave it where it belongs. I expect my grand daughter to "write" in one area, I expect her to "sit" while focusing on a project. She alreadys stores her books either under desktop or under her seat. She keeps her markers/crayons in the available spots and is very happy to have her own space! Summary: Great "Write Desk"
Rating - 2 Date: 2008-12-30 Content: I'll start with the good. Once I finally got one of these assembled, my 2 year old loved it. He spends a lot of time on this desk, and that makes this almost worth the purchase.
but ...
The first desk I bought was missing two screws and they missed three of the pre-drilled holes. I took it back in exchange for another one. This second one came with all screws and pre-drilled holes. However, when you get to step 7 of the instructions you realize how absolutely poor the quality control is at Step2.
In step 7, you're told to mount the light on the underside of the shelf - the same shelf you just screwed into the main desk back in step 6. Therefore, you now have to figure out a way to screw this light in using a very small amount of space. I had to get a special socket wrench to do it. Then, you're presented with this nice bit of information "to replace the batteries you must remove the shelf". That means you have to remove 4 screws, each one over 2 inches in length which are sunk straight into the plastic. Do yourself a favor if you end up getting this - mount the light on the shelf prior to mounting the shelf on the desk.
Obviously nobody at Step2 actually went through their own instructions before they released this to the public. Summary: Poor Quality Control - Nice Desk Once Assembled
Rating - 5 Date: 2008-11-30 Content: This is a great little desk. My son's only 17 months so he doesn't draw or do art too much, but I'll catch him getting in it just to mess around. I know once he starts doing art projects more often, he'll be in this desk a lot more! Summary: Great desk for a toddler
Rating - 4 Date: 2008-11-27 Content: This desk is amazing. My son is a large-ish 2 year old and this desk is just perfect for him. There are compartments for everything. His markers, crayons, and pencils all have their own place so he learns to be organized and can reach everything. No rolling off the desk. He puts his stamps in the seat compartment as well as his play-doh. I love this desk and so does he! The little light feature is fantastic as we all know how much they love pressing buttons. Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous! little wobbly, however, but that's ok! Summary: Buy This Desk
Rating - 5 Date: 2008-09-20 Content: My grandson is enjoying the desk very much. It makes him feel like he's in school. He loves putting his coloring books in the compartment and his other "stuff" in the seat compartment! Summary: My grandson loves it!
