Content: This player wasn't as durable as it needed to be for 4-5 yr olds. The tapeplayer door warped soon after children started using it, which kept the player from working. Buttons are hard to push. Wasted money on it as shipping to expensive to send back for price of player.

Content: This is a GREAT toy. No, really. It's not an Apple Ipod, nor is it a recorder. It's a tape player that your kids can mumble into the TOY microphone and sing along with. Will you be happy recording your kids? Heck no. It's a toy! Will they love mumbling into it and generally partying down? Absolutely!
This is a fantastic toy, but it's just that. Don't buy it if you're looking for something for you. It's for them.
On a personal note, my 2 year old LOVES this. She sings and dances for up to an hour while I'm making dinner. It's great entertainment and it lets them learn songs that you yourself used to sing that you can't find on CD or MP3. Pull out the tapes, relax a little, and enjoy your kiddo. :)

Content: Got this as a birthday present for my 2 year old boy. The microphones do not work. What a pain....so I went to exchange it at toysRUS but they won't exchange without a receipt. So now I have to contact the person who gave it to us as a gift to see if she can give me the receipt to exchange the toy. After reading the reviews...I think I just want to return and get some other toy.

Content: I bought 1, and after 1 or 2 days it broke and I returned for replacement. The replacement broke in the exact same way as the original. With this problem, this item should be pulled from being sold. Don't waste your money or time on this one!

Content: My daughter and I played with this toy for only half an hour before it started destroying all of her tapes. She is very gentle, and handled the tape player very carefully. I managed to salvage her favorite tapes, but the tape player is beyond repair. What a rip off!
