Editorial Reviews Product Description: Its elegant helical screw, coated with Teflon, turns easily to glide corks smoothly out of their bottles / Color: Shiny Black
Customer Reviews Average rating - 4.5
Rating - 5 Date: 2009-01-06 Content: What do you get for someone who has everything? A corkscrew that has few moving parts to break and keeps doing the job for years!. We had purchased a screwpull years ago and are pleased with it's consistent trouble free function. The product arrived on time and was priced much lower on Amazon than at a retail store. Summary: Simple but functional
Rating - 5 Date: 2008-12-28 Content: Two pieces, easily operated by holding down over the cork and turning the screw clockwise. The cork will come out as you turn the screw. With no fuss, and no jerking motions that make you look like a beginer with the wine. I even gave one to my favorite bistro to use. They love it too. Summary: Simplicity
Rating - 4 Date: 2008-12-11 Content: The Screwpull is foolproof and has no moving parts to wear out. Insert the screw into the cork and turn. Keep turning and once the screw bottoms out, the helical rotation as you continue turning will begin to effortlessly lift the cork. Once the cork is removed, grasp it to back it off the screw and pour your wine. This operation is slower than a Rabbit (if that's working for you) and less cumbersome than a butterfly. It takes about the same time as a waiter's lever screw with less effort. Plastic corks are no obstacle. I have encountered the rare bottle with an overly wide-diameter neck (usually presented as a lip or ring) over which the "legs" of the Screwpull cannot easily fit. This occasional challenge with wide-necked bottled prevent me from giving five stars. I've used mine for hundreds of bottles for close to twenty years. Summary: Rabbit: back to your hole!
Rating - 5 Date: 2008-11-24 Content: This is the second Screwpull corkscrew we have owned. The first one, given to us by my husband's mother, lasted 15 years, and broke only when I twisted the corkscrew without holding onto the base securely. I had asked in several liquor stores, and no one would admit to knowing anything about them. That was, I am certain, because they sold more expensive corkscrews that did not work nearly as well. This one is THE BEST! Summary: Best Corkscrew by Screwpull
Rating - 5 Date: 2008-11-18 Content: CORKSCREWS MAY COME AND GO, BUT THIS REMAINS THE BEST FOR OVERALL EASE OF USE AND RELIABILITY.
IT'S A LOT OF TWISTING, BUT MUCH EASIER TO OPERATE THAN THE LEVER TYPES (RABBIT) BECAUSE IT DOES NOT REQUIRE STRENGTH. Summary: Best corkscrew
