Editorial Reviews Product Description: The Hopalong gatemouth tool bag is the no-holds-barred carrier you-ll want on the jobsite. Bucket Boss Extreme represents a major innovation developed by contractors who demand the best quality available in tool carriers. High-density ballistic nylon (1680 Denier) is the foundation for this Extreme product. Heavy-duty nylon and polyester fabric provide extra strength, and PVC reinforcement gives large pockets and major stress points additional strength and durability. PVC on the bottom protects against moisture. A zippered Junk Drawer offers extra moisture-resistant storage, and the cell phone pocket is ideal for the always-in-touch professional.

Rating - 4 Date: 2007-10-18 Content: I bought this bag three years ago and have used it just about every day as my primary tool bag as an HVAC service technician... which means this things gets dragged under houses, on roofs, in water, mud, etc. The other guys I work with go through at least one bag per year... and that is stretching it, usually.
The Bucket Boss has really held up well all considering, but had a slow demise: A few months ago a hole got poked in the middle of the bottom from my needle nose pliers. About the same time, the strap hook broke... I used a strap from another bag. But recently, the bottom corner finally blew out. Only drawback to the water proof bottom, is that if you get rained on the bag fills up with water and becomes super heavy... and it won't dry out either. You have to empty all your stuff out, turn it upside-down and let it sit overnight. But, I'd rather have a waterproof bottom any day over nylon/canvas.
In my search for a better bag, the only thing I could find was the Veto Pro OT-LC... but that costs $139!!! Which is insane, btw.
The bag itself has everything you'd want. I didn't use the fanny pack (no body should ever, ever use a fanny pack). The junk pouch was nice, but ended up not using it either. Otherwise, I added a small divider box for small things. All my tools are visible, at a glance, which helps prevent loosing tools ... you know instantly when something is missing (a big saver when working with forgetful trainees). The main compartment has room for a multi-meter and a 3D cell Mag-Lite, plus all the other misc junk I carry. I try to keep the weight down, but the original shoulder strap is great, very comfortable.
If you are torn between buying the Veto Pro, but not wanting to spend the money, this is a very smart buy. Summary: Going on number 2
Rating - 4 Date: 2007-06-26 Content: I am a proffessional carpenter and furniture maker and sideline in all things handyman, and I can tear up any toolbag made. So far, this one has held up. It is one in four different bags that have lasted more than a month with me. It seems that it will be around a few more. I wish it had more and larger external pockets though. Summary: Good Stuff!
Rating - 5 Date: 2006-06-22 Content: This is a good sized tool bag it holds the tools I need yet is not overwhelming.
Summary: Good size
Rating - 5 Date: 2006-05-07 Content: This bag is the perfect size to tote around essentials. If it were any bigger and loaded with tools, it would be too heavy to lug around. I would have liked some more tool holding loops, perhaps some adjustable compartment dividers. It also has some kind of detachable fanny pack that could have provided space for something more useful like more handtool storage. Summary: Almost great, but not quite
Rating - 5 Date: 2006-03-20 Content: This is the perfect tool bag. I've searched a long time and have purchased numerous bags. The BucketBoss has all of the features I've been looking for: large pockets, adjustable dividers, waterproof bottom just to name a few. My only question now is what to do with all of these other bags? Summary: BucketBoss 06053
