Housings are black-anodized aluminum (except #8787, plastic) with thumbscrew to secure the eyepiece in place. Content: The hybrid diagonal allows you to use your 1.25" eyepieces on scopes with a .965" tube. I have used this diagonal to used my Meade Super Plössl eyepieces with and old 60mm Jason/Empire refractor. The eyepieces that came with that telescope can not compete with the Meades and has given my old scope new life.
