    Amazon.com Review:
Butter stored in the fridge tastes like leftovers and tears up your toast, while butter stored on the counter spreads easily but goes rancid in days. What to do? Norpro has the answer. Simply pack the Norpro Butter Keeper’s inverted lid with softened butter, put an inch or so of cool water in the base, and invert the lid on top. Water makes an airtight seal between lid and base, keeping butter soft, sweet, and spreadable for up to 30 days without refrigeration. (You’ll need to replace the water every few days.) Looking equally at home on the counter or at the table, this ceramic crock features delicate blue bands and a handle on top. It measures four inches in diameter by 3-1/2 inches tall, and is completely dishwasher-safe. --Mary Park

Content: The Norpro butter keeper is a great way to keep your butter soft. So very easy to use and small in size. The only way to always have nice, soft butter.
    Summary: BUTTER Keeper

Content: I should have listened to the other reviewers. I thought I'd take a chance on shipping, but no luck. Like many other prior customers the keeper arrived in pieces, probably due to a very poor packaging job.
    Summary: arrived in pieces

Content: This product is wonderful for all of those of us who want to use butter but hate when it's hard from the frig and tears your bread. This keeps butter as room tempature on your counter for use anytime.
    Summary: Great

Content: No more torn up pieces of bread and toast from trying to spread cold butter on them. This little handy, dandy kitchen accessory is a must-have! I don't reccommend use during summer or humid weather - it doesn't work so well in that climate, but great in the winter! Change the water out every few days to keep it fresh. And I only keep a half stick in at a time in order to keep the butter "clean", free of breadcrumbs, etc. Don't break it! My only complaint is that I wish it said "butter" in raised letters on the pottery - that would make it easier for guests to figure out what is in it!
Summary: Best Invention Since Sliced Bread!

Content: I love butter so this item was a must. One note about putting the butter in---you need to pack the butter so it's touching the outer edges of the inner cup; otherwise the water gets 'under' the butter and the butter-blob will plop right out of the cup into the water when you remove it!

Otherwise great although it is a little country-looking in design (there are other butter keepers to choose from and some have a more modern look).
Summary: Keep butter 'packed' to the edges
