Rating - 4 Date: 2008-08-17 Content: Got a pair of the CLC Pro Framers for Xmas, put them in the toolbox and forgot I had them. Do a lot of framing work for Habitat .... on a winter build I pulled them out and found that my hands were more comfortable (and warmer) with less fatigue and hammer slip than with regular work gloves. Stated wearing them for all framing, even in summer. The reason I am online is that I am looking for another pair. (Somebody "borrowed" mine) Summary: Pretty good for their intended use
Rating - 4 Date: 2006-12-07 Content: I picked up a pair of these because I needed some reasonably light but sturdy gloves to handle some large and heavy pieces of sheet glass. The glass put some definite wear and tear on the gloves, but my hands were in perfect shape after I was done. The gloves provided a pretty good grip on the glass, as well.
While they aren't great for heavy work, they make a decent second skin when you need to avoid cuts and scrapes while doing delicate work. The lack of fingertips on the middle and index fingers is nice when you need to hand turn L hooks or other tiny bits. Summary: Handy for gallery and light work
Rating - 3 Date: 2006-06-16 Content: but who really needs framing gloves? I wear them when carrrying stock to and fro on site, otherwise they just get in the way. Plus any of these synthetic type gloves just fall apart quickly anyway. Summary: good as far as framing gloves go,
