Content: I've used it three times now in the past month and I think it's pretty fabulous.

    PROs:
The packaging was pretty when it came, turquoise and white box with french and english on it.
They include extra lids which was thoughtful because I ended up needing one later.
The cups are a good serving size and not too big or small.
The machine itself doesn't take much space.
The instruction manual is short, simple and easy to follow (had english and french translations). I didn't even need instructions by the third time making yogurt.
The yogurt tastes exactly like the yogurt starter I used. It actually works!

    CONs:
The caps are hard to open, but I find it easy enough by opening the tab area.
The first batch you make will not be perfect; but mine wasn't because I used just 2% milk and culture. The second try, using whole milk and Stonyfield Organic Plain Whole Milk Yogurt (as starter), was perfectly delicious.
People think that glass is better, but glass breaks too easily and plastic lasts longer.
The thermometer included is useless, so I just used a regular kitchen one.
The temperature in the maker apparently isn't ideally consistent, but it hasn't affected the quality of the yogurt so far.

Definitely a good buy. I haven't used this long enough to judge the long-term worth of this yogurt maker, but I like it so far and will review it again maybe at the end of the year. We'll see if it's still as good then.
    Summary: Pretty Good

Content: This little machine is great and easy to use!! I like it very much; my only wish would be that the plastic tops to the cups were easier to pop off once I am ready to eat the yogurt.
    Summary: Makes delicious yogurt

Content: This is the only yogurt maker I've ever used, and in the 3 years I've had it, I almost always get great yogurt, but you should know that this is not temperature controlled. That means that in the summer when the temperature in the kitchen is 75 deg F or higher, the middle four cups finish hours ahead of the outer 4 cups. I also once used cold milk instead of heating it up to the proper temperature first. The yogurt took an extra 10 hours that time. I wouldn't be surprised if this is normal for most yogurt makers.
    Summary: No thermostat

Content: I love this yogurt-maker. It's a breeze to use, and the yogurt is wonderful. One complaint: some (not all) of the plastic lids are almost impossible to remove from the jars without using a prying tool. I use an old-fashioned bottle opener. This operation is painful for hands that are showing signs of arthritis.
    Summary: Almost perfect

Content: At the beginning I was not happy because as I found out later I WAS NOT following instructions correctly. The yogurt maker is awesome. I had a lot of trouble getting the yogurt to be the consistency I wanted because I was not waiting for the milk to reach the right temperature when adding the starter. You do need to wait till the temperature reaches the window it shows in the thermometer the machine brings. (I am using plain yogurt with active cultures as a starter, 2 tablespoons)...Now I get the perfect consistency . I leave the yogurt for 12 hrs and it comes out great! I am extremely happy with my purchase. I recommend it.
    Summary: YOGURT MAKER
