Content: First off, let me say this flatware set is extremely good looking. It's also lighter than I expected, I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not. However, I followed Henckels' dishwasher directions perfectly and upon pulling the flatware out of the dishwasher I found some of them already had begun to have rust spots. After one wash!
I'm really disappointed. This was the first set of "high quality" flatware I ever bought. Even el cheapo flatware from Chi-Mart holds off on rusting for at least a few washes.
I am in the process of returning this set to Amazon. Thanks for making it easy to return this stuff, Amazon. I'm going to search for another new set now...sigh. By the way, this set is made in China in case you were wondering.

Content: Reading the revies I thought for sure I had a winner in this set. We were seeking to replace a set we originally purchased from Target that now has missing pieces. The Henkels set is SO light-weight. It reminds me of something I would purcahse at Wal-Mart for $30. It is definetely not what I expect from the Henkels brand. I just received it today and have already printed the return shipping label. It is a pretty set but for the price, the quality is not up to par. I know other buyers raved about the set and all I can figure is perhaps mine was manufactured somewhere else (the box indicates China). How very disappointing!

Content: I got this set for my mother who was extremely happy with the stylish look, quality, weight per piece, sturdiness, and value (I was the one happy with the value). This is a very handsome flatware set that can be used on a daily basis or for special occasions. It is well worth the value and after seeing and using these I will be buying a set for my sister for Christmas. You won't be disappointed with the price, value, look, or feel. This is an excellent set and I'm glad I chose this particular service. I have no regrets in purchasing this set.
Please be aware that although J A Henckels is a quality German company this set of flatware is manufactured in another company. Even so, the quality is NOT compromised and meets or exceeds Henckels standard of quality.
Summary: Great value, classic style with great looks, perfect weight, and very practical.

Content: I am very satisfied with this 45-Piece Flatware from J.A. Henckels International, it was even more than I expected. Being an opinionated male, I never purchased flatware before, but using the flimsy flatware my wife was buying, I decided to go shopping on my own. Our previous flatware was only purchased 3 weeks ago by the more practiced "other-half". I guess she did not know quality or thought all flatware were created equal!! Clearly they were not constructed very well; when I attempted to cut through my favorite meal "T-Bone Steak" the fork bent like a pretzel, just like the previous flatware she purchased. That was it!!!!! Did some considerable research and decided to purchase the J.A. Henckels brand? This flatware is very strong, durable, solid, and attractive and the weight of each piece is perfect for all. Went to the drawer and discarded all the previous flatware in the refuse, all 65 pieces. Guess I found out who was "King" of the Castle"... WRONG. She was very offended and made me pay for all of it. Well, at least I can cut my favorite steak without bending any of the flatware. The J.A. Henckels International Provence 45-Piece Flatware Set, Service for 8 is a GREAT Product and would recommend to all.
