Content: There's no automatic shutoff. The batteries can be dramatically overcharged and may well explode. They were too hot to touch when I unplugged the charger... After that the charger was thrown away.

Content: This is absolutely worthless!!! It takes forever (at least a week) to charge batteries and you have to watch so it doesn't overheat. I watch it like a hawk and leave it plugged in when I am home and unplug it when I leave for work. I've done that for about 2 weeks trying to charge the batteries and I still haven't gotten the "green lights". I would not waste your money. This is one of those "you get what you pay for" items. It is inexpensive to buy but a piece of garbage that doesn't work and you have to watch. Honestly, I wouldn't even give this a one star rating.

Content: Found this item to be of adequate quality for the money. One drawback. It does not shut off automatically. You will have to remind yourself to remove from the receptacle within 24 hours or the batteries and unit will become hot. Feel I got my monies worth..
