Rating - 3 Date: 2009-01-02 Content: My waffle maker also stopped heating. There is a thermal fuse under the stainless covers for the burners. It is covered by a white silicon tube. This part blows at the waffle maker stops heating. The part is about 1.50. That is what is failing on these things. If you search for thermal fuse 240C you will find them on amazon. I did not want to throw out such a nice waffle maker. You don't have to either. Summary: How to fix the waffle maker
Rating - 5 Date: 2008-12-30 Content: I bought this to use at home, but every restaurant I've work at has used this exact same waffle iron for breakfast service. It's dependable and it makes absolutely perfect waffles. The price might seem ridiculous. But if you like waffles and make then with any regularity (even if just once every week or two), this is worth it. The cheap waffle irons are fine if you're going to use it once or twice a year. Any more than that, get this iron! Summary: Perfect waffles. Every time
Rating - 1 Date: 2008-12-28 Content: THis model is BAD NEWS! We had it for about a month and it just stopped working on us. We only made waffles for about three times before it died. BEWARE you could lose your money on this one. Hopefully they will get their acts together and get it right. I know others with the same problem. It's great if you are lucky enough to get one that will last for more than a couple months. We had an older model that lasted three years for us but this one is a bum model. Summary: VERY BAD MODEL!!!!! IT BURNS OUT WITHIN 1 MONTH!!!
Rating - 1 Date: 2008-12-26 Content: I received this as a Christmas gift and couldn't wait to make some great breakfasts! This morning I took it out of the box and prepped it, following the directions to a tee. I made one waffle -- it wasn't crispy and light by any means, but it may have been that I was using a store-bought pancake/waffle mix. But when I poured my second waffle in and flipped the waffle iron, there was a big "POP" and a spark. It turns out that it blew the electrical outlet where it was plugged. I have never had that happen before, so I don't know if it was a fault with the machine or not. But I'm going to take it back and try a different brand. Summary: Blew my fuse
Rating - 1 Date: 2008-12-22 Content: We are on our 4th waffle iron which just broke again after 3 uses. They (Waring) replaced the original waffle Iron with commercial model "WW150"? each time but those broke too. I'm wondering if these were refurbs???
At least I had a local service shop who sent each one back to Waring(cost free to me), but not without each of us joking about it. I'm calling Waring and let them know my thughts on such a bad product....
Buyer beware.... Summary: On 4th one - Stopped Working
