Content: We've been subscribing to this and Wild Animal Baby for about a year now. My son is currently 3yrs old, and I have to read this magazine to him. However, he loves it!

The pictures are very detailed and many are close-ups, so it gives my son the opportunity to see familiar zoo animals from a different perspective.

I appreciate how they include pictures and information about their natural habitats. For instance, my son enjoyed the issue that showed all the different things that ants can do. Before that article, he thought ants were just insects that try to crawl on you.

The articles are written in a simple style, but I think that makes it easier fo the children to remember what they've learned about all the different animals in each issue.

Every magazine includes a two-page poster. We pin them up in my son's room, so he can see the animals whenever he wants.

Content: My youngest daughter loves this magazine and I love that there is no advertising in it. The baby animals are very attractive to children and that keeps them interested in reading about them. I also receive Spider magazine for my older child and it does not contain advertising either.

Content: My young sons, ages 6 and 4, love to check the mailbox and get mail.

I purchased a couple magazine subscriptions for my sons at Christmas last year to supplement their library books and school materials.

The magazine says it is intended for children aged 3 to 7 years but don't be shy subscribing to this sooner rather than later. The magazine is mostly animal pictures and very colorful ones at that.

I personally like the Family Fun Guide which has given us a couple good ideas to stave off a rainy weekend. There's also links to their web site which is full of family activity tips.

Your Big Backyard is a nice change of pace from our sons' book collection of Dr. Suess, DK Readers and Berenstain Bears.

Content: As a former pre-kindergarten teacher, I remember this magazine as a great teaching tool and a well used book in the library center...Now that I have a three year old granddaughter, Amelia is receiving this as a birthday gift. I feel this will open her eyes to learning about the world around her as well as encourage Amelia to seek and find information she needs to be a good citizen on Planet Earth.
