Jesada 108-240S 8-Inch Anti-Kickback Joint-Master Dado Set
EAN: 0745857150026 Model: 108-240S Product Group: Home Improvement
Customer Reviews Average rating - 3.5
Rating - 4 Date: 2005-06-01 Content: This is a very high quality dado set. The blades produce very nice, chip out free cuts on solid wood and veneered plywood. My only complaint is that it does not produce perfectly flat bottomed dados. Otherwise I would have rated it 5 stars.
Summary: Jesade dado set
Rating - 4 Date: 2001-01-08 Content: This set replaced a cheaper Freud Super Dado set that I had, and comparatively speaking this one by Jesada is far superior. Fortunately, I did not have any of the inconsistencies that another reviewer experienced. The set is esay to set up and shim when necessary, produces very clean shoulders and flat even bottoms. I have not yet experienced any tearout with numerous cuts in clear hard maple or southern yellow pine. The set fits very tightly on my Powermatic saw and has not burned or bogged. I appreciate clean tight joints and well designed and manufactured products, as well or more than anyone, but I could not justify the additional cost for the Forrest Dado King set. I am certain that it is a great set, as is my Woodworker II from Forrest, but for the money spent and general applications for a dado joint or groove - this Jesada set works well. Summary: Very Good Set for the Money
Rating - 3 Date: 2000-12-05 Content: I too searched around for a blade in the $150-175 and after narrowing it down between the Freud and Jesada, went with the Jesada. My first time out with it produced less than perfect results. It made very nice clean edges with no chipping but the bottom groove was uneven with the chipper cutting slightly deeper than the inside and outside blades that also cut at different depths. Though the imperfections are slight and probably won't be noticed in most applications, I was expecting more. Summary: Disappointed

Rating - 4 Date: 2000-11-27 Content: I did a lot of research before buying this dado blade. As you know if you are reading this review there are a lot of blades to choose from. What I didn't want was to spend $... or spend $... and have to replace it in a couple of years. I have made a few passes and the results were beyond my expectations. In a nut shell the grooves were clean! Shims are included with the set and there is no mention of this in the description (a nice plus). The only reason I gave this product a 4 star rating is some sort of plastic blade holder should have been included for the price. This is something you will find with Freud dados at this price range. However, with that being said, I am glad I bought the Jesada! Summary: Great Jesada Dado Blade
